DESCRIPTION

A potent L-type Ca²⁺channel blocker that is selective over N-, R-, P/Q- and T-type channels. It displays high vascular selectivity over cardiac muscle, thus lowering arterial blood pressure without altering cardiac contractility. Felodipine is a medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). These medications work by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, which helps to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.
